THE ROLE

The Controller will be a key member of the MGMT3D team and will be responsible for managing all aspects of general accounting for Xerxes Holdings and each of its multi-faceted subsidiaries. This position will provide key insights into the financial performance of each businesses and will be looked upon to provide guidance and thought leadership on appropriate tax strategies. The Controller will also work closely with team members within each subsidiary in developing and managing key accounting processes and controls.

• Responsible for all accounting operational functions for all Xerxes Holdings companies.

• Responsible for collaborating with leadership and legal team to create, maintain, and update all entities’ state and federal registrations, documentation and more.

• Responsible for cash management including cash flow forecasting, invoicing, Accounts Receivables, disbursements. Some cash-based accounting and some accrual-based based accounting.

• Own month-end and year-end close processes and related financial reporting and analysis.

• Manage financial data and reporting necessary for accurate accounting of consolidated businesses and their results. Work with team to develop monitoring dashboards and business metrics.

• Prepare and file federal, state and local tax reporting – sales/use, employer withholdings and partnership returns.

• Determine appropriate accounting methods that drive tax efficiencies.

• Manage and maintain the company’s general ledger system.

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and monitor performance against budgets. Help achieve budget objectives by scheduling, managing expenditures and analyzing variances.

We care about results and are all eager to jump in and get our hands dirty. Important competencies to effectively perform this role include:

• Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision

• Strong working knowledge of computer software, such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, etc.

• Experience with business intelligence and/or planning and budgeting software applications

• Ability to use data analysis to develop insights and hypothesis vs. reporting numbers

• Ability to influence and drive consensus across organizational functional areas

• Capable of multi-tasking across projects of varying scope and complexity

• Able to deal with ambiguity

• Leadership skills to manage team of 3 financial professionals – hire, retain, train and coach direct reports

• Intermittent travel is an essential duty and function of this job, less than 25%

• Undergraduate B.S. Degree – emphasis in Accounting

• Minimum 10 years of general accounting experience, preferably experience in fast-growing organizations

• Strong understanding of LLC tax accounting and regulations

• Experience in managing general ledger systems in support of diverse businesses

• Strong working knowledge of computer software, such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, etc.
